The best laid plans to pre-write posts for publication while we’re on vacation in Italy did not come to fruition. It figures! There was just too much going on. The big dilemma will be whether I actually remember the recipes of all those photos I now have on my hard drive. I know you understand, because your hard drive most likely looks the same as mine. Okay, so maybe not quite as bad.
Anyway, my heart was in the right place. I’ll be back in two weeks, with ideas for new recipes, and stories of the food we enjoyed while we were traveling.

can i have seething jealously for a fellow food blogger i don’t know personally? i was just sitting here depressed thinking that 1 year ago i had just gotten married in tuscany surrounded by my closest friends and family for 1 week then went of on a 2 week honeymoon. 1 year ago today i remember exactly where i was – Parma. I know exactly what I ate – grilled lamb chops with aged balsamic and started w/ a tortellini en brodo. I know exactly what I drank – lots of red wine, followed by a limoncello, then walked the the main square and proceeded to drink 6 – YES 6 – sambuca’s. it’s just that high you can only get when having the best time of your life and living la dolce vita that you just forget how many ‘buca’s you’ve had!
the next day i had the worst hangover in my life as I attempted to eat a lardo pizza in modena. ahhhh, italy. have a wonderful time – even though i’m jealous!!!
